Common questions
Questions buyers ask us.
Cost, coverage, radon, and how to get on the schedule.
How much does a home inspection cost in Elizabethtown?
A full home inspection is $500 for homes up to 1,999 square feet and $650 for homes from 2,000 to 3,500 square feet. Homes over 3,500 square feet are quoted individually. Radon testing is $150 when added to the same visit.
What areas do you serve?
Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Vine Grove, Fort Knox, Brandenburg, Bardstown, Shepherdsville, Leitchfield, Campbellsville and the greater Louisville area — Hardin, Meade, Bullitt, Nelson, Grayson, Taylor and Jefferson counties.
Do I need a radon test in Hardin County?
The EPA places Hardin County in Radon Zone 2, meaning a predicted average indoor screening level between 2 and 4 pCi/L. Several counties we serve — Bullitt, Nelson, Jefferson and Taylor — are Zone 1, with a predicted average above the EPA's 4 pCi/L action level. Zone maps predict county averages, not any individual house, which is why the EPA recommends testing the specific home.
What is included in a home inspection?
Inspections follow the InterNACHI Residential Standards of Practice and cover the roof, exterior and grading, structure and foundation, attic, insulation and ventilation, heating and cooling, plumbing and water heater, electrical service and panel, interior doors, windows and stairs, built-in appliances, and the garage. You receive an electronic report with HD photos.
Do you offer a military or veteran discount?
Yes. 2 Vets Inspections is veteran-owned and offers a discount to anyone who has served — active duty, Guard, Reserve or retired. We also support the Disabled American Veterans.
